Switzerland holds the densest cluster of watchmaking in the catalog and the deepest split inside a single country. Geneva is a city tradition, ducal patronage, finishing houses, the Plan-les-Ouates industrial belt, while the Vallée de Joux, ninety minutes north by car, is an alpine craft economy that grew up to fill the winter months.
