Entry to the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève is voluntary and made by the brand. An entry is a watch registered for that year's competition, not a jury verdict, and several large houses including Rolex, Patek Philippe and Omega do not take part at all.
The Chronographe category at GPHG 2021 held 12 entries. These are the other 11.

Cal. B09 is a hand-wind Venus 178 revival; the caseback must show no rotor to confirm the correct caliber.
| Area | What to check | What is correct | Red flag |
|---|---|---|---|
| caseback | Cal. B09 hand-wind identity | No rotor visible through exhibition caseback; movement architecture consistent with a large-diameter manual-wind caliber derived from the Venus 178 | Automatic rotor visible through the caseback; indicates movement swap to an automatic caliber |
| dial | Heritage B09 period-correct layout | Period-correct pusher layout and crown placement consistent with the B09 reference; small crown at 3 and pushers at 2 and 4 | Pusher or crown positions inconsistent with the B09 layout; indicates dial from a different Premier variant |
| crown | Manual-wind crown function | Crown winds the mainspring smoothly with increasing resistance as power reserve fills; no slip or ratcheting failure | Crown that slips during winding or provides no resistance; indicates mainspring or keyless works issue |
The Premier Heritage B09 Chronograph 40 is a tribute to vintage Breitling Premier chronographs, using the Cal. B09 hand-wound movement derived from the Venus 178 archive caliber. The hand-wound movement with no rotor, the specific bridge layout of the B09, and the vintage-inspired case are the defining authentication points. This is the only current Breitling reference with a hand-wound in-house caliber.
