Grail Atlas — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Grail Atlas (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Grail Atlas is — and is not
Grail Atlas is an information service. It aggregates publicly available watch listings and market data, computes value, trust, and risk assessments, and surfaces community-contributed intelligence.
- Grail Atlas is not a marketplace. It does not sell watches, hold inventory,
process payments, or hold funds in escrow.
- Grail Atlas is not an authentication, appraisal, or investment authority.
Its scores, ratings, forecasts, and risk levels are informational estimates, generated in part by automated systems and community input. They are not a guarantee, certification, or professional opinion.
- All transactions occur on third-party platforms under those platforms' own
terms. Grail Atlas is not a party to, and is not responsible for, any sale.
3. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for safeguarding your credentials. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Affiliate disclosure
Grail Atlas may earn a commission when you click certain links and complete a purchase on a third-party platform. Affiliate relationships are disclosed at the point of each link. Affiliate compensation never influences rankings, scores, or ratings — listings are ordered solely on the merits.
5. User contributions
You may contribute signals, reports, reviews, and other content ("Contributions"). You retain ownership of your Contributions and grant Grail Atlas a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and use them to operate and improve the Service. You represent that your Contributions are accurate to the best of your knowledge, are your own, and do not infringe any rights. You must disclose any conflict of interest (for example, a dealer or brand relationship). Contributions are governed by the Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Ratings, risk signals, and forecasts
Value Scores, Trust Scores, Reliability/Quality/Value ratings, condition calibration, risk levels, and auction forecasts are estimates derived from data of varying completeness and from community input. They may be wrong or out of date. Risk levels are factual, graded indicators — never an accusation that any person has committed fraud. Always perform your own inspection and diligence before purchasing.
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct is detailed in the Acceptable Use Policy and includes manipulating community signals, scraping the Service, and posting unlawful content.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, and its compiled data and assessments are owned by Grail Atlas or its licensors. Brand and reference names are used for nominative, descriptive purposes only; Grail Atlas is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any watch manufacturer.
9. Third-party content & links
The Service references third-party listings, marketplaces, and sources. Grail Atlas does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, pricing, availability, or conduct.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRAIL ATLAS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM A WATCH PURCHASE. [Aggregate liability cap — counsel.]
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Grail Atlas against claims arising from your Contributions or your misuse of the Service.
13. Corrections & disputes
If you believe an assessment or piece of information about you or a listing is inaccurate, contact [corrections@grailatlas.com]. Sellers may request review of a negative assessment before or after publication.
14. Changes & termination
We may modify these Terms or the Service. Material changes will be notified. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
If you unsubscribe from Grail Atlas email communications, you will not receive further promotional or notification emails. Records of your subscription and the unsubscribe event are retained per our privacy policy. If you wish to delete all your data, submit a separate erasure request through our privacy request process. Some data may be retained after erasure requests where we have a legitimate basis to do so.
Grail Atlas may retain data associated with an account following termination or a deletion request where: (a) the account was involved in conduct that violated these Terms; (b) the data is subject to a legal hold; (c) retention is required by applicable law; or (d) retention is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of Grail Atlas or other users. Retained data is not used for marketing and is held in restricted access until the retention basis expires.
15. Governing law & disputes

16. Intellectual-property complaints
Copyright complaints follow a notice-and-takedown process under 17 U.S.C. § 512. A user whose content is removed may submit a counter-notice to counter-notice@grailatlas.com.

17. General
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect (severability). You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control (force majeure). These Terms, with the policies they reference, are the entire agreement on their subject matter.
