Price trend chart coming soon

The Royal Oak Day-Date "Owl" in rose gold is a scarce, short-production reference discontinued around 2013, not a current-catalog piece. Secondary prices have drifted down over the past year alongside the broader Royal Oak market, and thin supply means individual listings vary more than on a longer-running reference.

Editorial estimate, 2026 Q2. Actual prices vary by condition, date, and box/papers status.

The twin sub-dial "Owl" layout at 9 and 3 o'clock is unique to this reference; a Royal Oak Day-Date with a single aperture window is a different model entirely.

Known issues in the market
  • The rose gold case was only ever fitted with a leather strap; any example on a metal bracelet is a different reference or a modified watch.
  • Rose gold applied indices must be original AP manufacture; aftermarket indices use an incorrect gold alloy.

Common legitimate replacements
  • The rose gold Tapisserie dial with its twin sub-dials is reference-specific; a dial from any other Royal Oak Day-Date variant is not visually interchangeable.
  • The original alligator strap and deployant clasp carry a real value premium; generic aftermarket straps are common on examples that have changed hands several times.

Authentication guide

Last reviewed July 2026

The Royal Oak Day-Date "Owl" in rose gold shows the day of the week and date on a symmetric pair of sub-dials at 9 and 3 o'clock, rather than the aperture windows used on most Royal Oak calendar models. Reference 26330OR.OO.D088CR.01 was produced only from 2011 to 2013, so genuine examples are scarce. The twin sub-dial execution, and the leather strap the rose gold case was always fitted with, are the primary authentication focus.

Known reproduction risks

toggle
HIGH RISK

The "Owl" layout is distinctive, but the reference's short production run means fewer buyers have handled a genuine example -- the twin sub-dial execution and the leather-strap-only rose gold configuration are the fastest checks.

  • "Grande Tapisserie" squares with rounded corners or reduced relief depth
  • A single day/date aperture in place of the twin 9-and-3 sub-dial layout
  • A metal bracelet on a rose-gold-case example (never produced that way)
  • Sub-dial rings that are flat-printed rather than recessed with a concentric-circle finish

Because the rose gold "Owl" was produced for only about two years, comparison against confirmed-genuine photos is the most reliable check before purchase.

EraDescriptionIdentifiers
2011 to 2013 (rose gold 26330OR, black dial only)The rose gold "Owl" Royal Oak Day-Date. Two recessed sub-dials sit within the black "Grande Tapisserie" dial: day of the week at 9 o'clock, date at 3 o'clock, each finished with a concentric-ring pattern and a rose gold surround. The rose gold case was fitted only to a leather strap; the integrated-bracelet version of this dial layout exists solely as the steel 26330ST.
  • Black "Grande Tapisserie" dial only -- AP never produced this reference in blue, champagne, or salmon
  • Day sub-dial at 9 o'clock and date sub-dial at 3 o'clock, both recessed with a concentric-ring finish; the 31st date is printed in red
  • Rose gold applied hour markers and hands, matching the case metal
  • Brown alligator leather strap on a rose gold AP deployant clasp -- this reference was never fitted with a metal bracelet
  • "Royal Oak Day-Date" text not on the dial; only "Audemars Piguet" / "Royal Oak" / "Automatic" appear

Day and date sub-dials at 9 and 3

Original: Day of the week and date are each shown on a dedicated pointer-type sub-dial rather than a window: day at 9 o'clock, date at 3 o'clock, both recessed into the "Grande Tapisserie" texture with a concentric-ring finish and rose gold surround.

Replacement tells
  • A single aperture/window in place of the twin sub-dial layout
  • Sub-dial hands or rings with incorrect proportions, or a flat rather than recessed finish
  • Missing red printing on the 31st date position
Leather strap and deployant clasp

Original: Brown alligator leather strap fitted to a rose gold deployant clasp stamped with the AP crown. No metal bracelet option exists for the rose gold case.

Replacement tells
  • A metal bracelet fitted to a rose-gold-case example -- this reference was never produced that way
  • Non-alligator or visibly synthetic strap material
  • Clasp without the correct "AP" crown engraving, or a generic aftermarket clasp

Case back markings

toggle
2011 to 2013
  • Solid caseback engraved with "Royal Oak" and "Automatic" text
  • "Water Resistant 50M" on caseback
  • Reference number "26330OR.OO.D088CR.01" on caseback rim
  • AP crown centered on caseback
  • Solid caseback with no exhibition window; confirms Cal. 2325/2810 inside

Movement tells

toggle
  • Cal. 2325/2810 drives the day and date sub-dials. Not visible through the solid caseback. Performance indicators: 40-hour power reserve from full wind; 28,800 vph beat rate.
  • The solid caseback means movement condition is not externally verifiable without opening; request service history for any example over 5 years old.
