The 1815 Flyback is a column-wheel flyback chronograph in the traditional 1815 dress-watch format. It is one of the most collector-focused Lange references: no date, no power reserve, just the flyback mechanism in a 39.5mm case with a clean three-register dial.

The flyback function on Cal. L101.1 uses a column wheel identical in principle to the Datograph but in a different layout. The column wheel teeth visible through the caseback must show hand-beveled edges.
A correctly functioning flyback shows zero displacement of the central seconds hand between the end of the reset and the restart; any visible creep before restart indicates worn detent springs.
Glashütte stripe finishing is required on all surfaces of the three-quarter plate; no exceptions regardless of service history.
