Small case: suits slender wrists (under 6.5 in / 16.5 cm)
35 mm case. A compact, elegant wear. Particularly at home on narrower wrists where larger cases can overhang.

Community + OSINT signals haven’t landed for this reference yet. We don’t publish a rating against zero signal: the number would mean nothing. Editorial body + caliber + market value still surface above; ratings appear once the signal corpus does.

Authentication

Identical authentication profile to the 38mm Presence; case diameter must be physically measured on any unboxed example.

Known issues in the market
  • Watch is represented as the 38mm variant but measures 35mm; the two sizes share the same dial layout and are easily confused in photos.
  • Winged-hourglass logo is blurred; same counterfeit tell as the larger Presence.
  • Movement is not Longines-finished; entry-level counterfeits use generic movements without Longines finishing.

Common legitimate replacements
  • Straps and bracelets are frequently swapped on entry-level Longines; original signed straps confirm provenance.
  • Crystal condition is a practical concern on unboxed examples; any replacement crystal should be sapphire to match the original specification.

Authentication guide

Last reviewed June 2026

The 35mm Présence is manual-wind with no complications, no date, 8.1mm thin. It is the purest dress proposition in the lineup. The manual-wind caliber is the key distinguishing feature from the automatic Presence 38.

Known reproduction risks

toggle
LOW

The 35mm Présence is a niche minimalist dress watch without reproduction risk. Movement confusion with the automatic Presence 38 is the main buyer error, not deliberate misrepresentation.

  • Automatic winding (rotor noise or self-winding behavior): wrong movement
  • Exhibition caseback showing a rotor where none should exist
  • Small-seconds subdial at 6 indicates a Presence 38 dial swap

The manual vs. automatic distinction is the most important check for this reference. A buyer expecting a manual-wind dress watch who receives an automatic has received the wrong reference.

Dial variants by era

Movement Type

Original: Manual-wind caliber; the crown winds the watch with no automatic rotor

Replacement tells
  • Watch that self-winds when worn (automatic rotor sound or motion) indicates an automatic movement was swapped in
  • Exhibition caseback showing a rotor is a definitive movement-swap tell
Dial

Original: Simple three-hand dial (no sub-registers, no date)

Replacement tells
  • Small-seconds subdial at 6 (Presence 38 dial swapped in)
  • Date window (wrong reference entirely)
  • Applied indices replaced with printed after service

Case back markings

toggle
2014 to present
  • Exhibition caseback (some variants): shows manual-wind movement with no rotor
  • Caseback rim: reference L4.804.4.62.2, 30M water resistance
  • Absence of rotor noise when moving the watch is the clearest manual-wind tell

Movement tells

toggle
  • A manual-wind watch must be wound daily; any watch sold as this reference that winds itself is not fitted with the correct movement.
  • The caliber runs at 21,600 bph (noted as "ETA 2801-2 base" per seed data); this lower beat rate is audibly slower than 28,800 bph and confirms authenticity on a timing machine.
  • Power reserve is 42 hours; wind the watch fully and the stem should feel noticeably more resistant as the mainspring approaches full wind. Absence of increasing resistance suggests a slipping or broken mainspring.
  • There is no date-setting function; any crown that has multiple positions beyond wind and time-set is a wrong-movement indicator.
  • The 8.1mm case height is matched to the manual-wind movement; any thicker case suggests a swap.
