Known issues in the market
  • Cal. HUB1201 is manual-wind only; a rotor visible through the caseback means the wrong movement is fitted.
  • Winding resistance should increase steadily over many turns as the 10-day mainspring loads; winding that stops quickly indicates a power reserve issue.

The Meca-10 is Hublot's 10-day manual-wind piece. No rotor is present through the caseback, which is the first authentication check. The six-barrel power train and the 10-day power reserve indicator on the dial are the two functional signatures.

Movement tells

  • No automatic winding rotor is present; the caseback view should show a flat plate with the barrel stack, no spinning weight.
  • Full wind from empty requires sustained crown rotation for several minutes; a movement that reaches full reserve in under 30 turns is not delivering 10 days of reserve.
  • The six-barrel architecture gives the movement a noticeably different visual rhythm from a standard single-barrel piece; the barrels are stacked in a 2x3 arrangement visible from caseback and partially through the skeleton dial.
