Authentication
Manual-wind only with 10-day reserve; any Meca-10 caseback showing a rotor has the wrong movement.
Known issues in the market
- Cal. HUB1201 is manual-wind only; a rotor visible through the caseback means the wrong movement is fitted.
- Winding resistance should increase steadily over many turns as the 10-day mainspring loads; winding that stops quickly indicates a power reserve issue.
| Area | What to check | What is correct | Red flag |
|---|---|---|---|
| caseback | Manual-wind architecture, no rotor | HUB1201 manual-wind movement visible; no rotor present; power reserve display visible | Rotor visible through caseback; movement swap; not a genuine Meca-10 caliber |
| case | Power reserve display | Power reserve window on caseback shows reserve from Full to Empty; advances with winding | Non-functioning or absent power reserve display; wrong movement |
| crown | Winding resistance | Winding resistance increases steadily over many turns; long mainspring loading curve | Winding stops quickly or has no increasing resistance; mainspring or mechanism issue |
Common legitimate replacements
- Rubber strap; Hublot OEM.
- Crown; manual-wind crown subject to wear.

Authentication guide
Last reviewed June 2026
The Meca-10 is Hublot's 10-day manual-wind piece. No rotor is present through the caseback, which is the first authentication check. The six-barrel power train and the 10-day power reserve indicator on the dial are the two functional signatures.
