Authentication

- A Carrera Date with pusher apertures visible on the case has a different reference number.
- Cal. 5 Sellita SW200-1 base is correct and appropriate for this tier.
| Area | What to check | What is correct | Red flag |

| case | Pusher absence | No pusher apertures at 2 or 4 o'clock positions; smooth case flanks | Any pusher holes or plugged apertures indicating a different reference or modification |
| dial | Non-chrono dial layout | Three-hand plus date layout; no sub-registers for chronograph functions | Sub-registers present; dial layout inconsistent with Carrera Date specification |
| caseback | Caliber 5 identity | TAG Cal. 5 designation; Sellita SW200-1 architecture | Incorrect caliber; chronograph movement installed in non-chrono case |
- Original Carrera bracelet; factory strap replacements available.
Authentication guide
The Carrera Date Calibre 5 is TAG's entry-level three-hand automatic in the Carrera line. The Calibre 5 (Sellita SW200-1 base) is a reliable workhorse. This is a significantly simpler watch than the Heuer 02 chronograph variants -- no exhibition caseback, no column wheel, and no in-house movement. The authentication priority is confirming it is not misrepresented as a Heuer 02 variant.
