The 5327G is a white gold perpetual calendar in a round 38.5mm Calatrava case. It reads perpetual calendar information through four apertures plus a pointer date. Cal. 324 S Q is the correct automatic movement. Aperture display quality and movement verification are the primary authentication targets.

  • Cal. 324 S Q is a self-winding perpetual calendar. It correctly tracks all month lengths and leap years without requiring manual calendar corrections except when the watch is stopped for extended periods.
  • Perpetual calendar mechanisms use a series of levers and cams indexed by the annual cam; all calendar corrections should snap with a positive click feel when the corrector is pressed.
  • Gyromax balance wheel with four gold weights, Spiromax or equivalent flat hairspring, and Geneva Seal finishing on all bridges are the verification standards.
  • Incorrect calendar display following the watch being stopped and restarted requires careful resetting of the perpetual mechanism via the correctors in the correct sequence -- a known correct procedure for this caliber.
  • Any perpetual calendar displaying wrong dates in months other than after a long stop indicates a worn mechanism requiring service.
