Market price
Steel Villeret Grande Date examples trade well below new retail in a thin but genuine secondary market, with meaningfully lower prices than the gold-cased references in the same family command.
Editorial estimate, 2026 Q2. Actual prices vary by condition, date, and box/papers status.
Not yet rated
Community + OSINT signals haven’t landed for this reference yet. We don’t publish a rating against zero signal: the number would mean nothing. Editorial body + caliber + market value still surface above; ratings appear once the signal corpus does.

Both grande date discs must advance fully and cleanly at midnight; a lagging tens disc is the primary service signal.
- The tens disc (0-9) and units disc (0-9) must both advance cleanly at midnight; any partial advance indicates worn switching mechanism.
- The grande date window proportions are specific to Cal. 6950; aftermarket date windows have different framing.
- The Villeret double-step bezel is the same check as all Villeret references; single-step indicates non-genuine case.
| Area | What to check | What is correct | Red flag |
|---|---|---|---|
| dial | Grande date advance at midnight | Both tens and units discs advance simultaneously and fully; date reads correctly after advance | Lagging second disc, partial advance, or date stuck between positions at midnight |
| dial | Date window frame alignment | Both digit windows perfectly framed by the aperture with consistent margins | Misaligned window frames or unequal margins indicating a dial replacement |
| caseback | Cal. 6950 twin-barrel movement | Twin barrels visible, movement signed Cal. 6950 and Blancpain | Single-barrel movement or unsigned movement indicating a swap |
- Grande date disc sets are Blancpain proprietary parts; independent replacement is not possible.
- The 72h power reserve twin barrel is shorter than other Villeret references; wind before timing checks.
Authentication guide
The Villeret Grande Date uses caliber 6950, an in-house automatic with a prominent oversized date display at 12 o'clock. The date uses two discs (tens and units separately) to produce a large, legible numeral. The Villeret double-stepped case and the large date window are the dual authentication anchors.
