Screw-down crown and 100m water resistance distinguish the Tangente Sport from the standard Tangente
| Area | What to check | What is correct | Red flag |
|---|---|---|---|
| case | Tangente Sport case with screw-down crown | Screw-down crown at 3; 100m water resistance stamped on caseback; correct Sport case diameter; "100m / 330ft" marking present | Push-pull crown (indicates non-Sport); 30m water resistance marking; crown thread stripped or engaging incorrectly |
| movement | Alpha or DUW calibre per production year | Manual wind on earlier examples (Alpha calibre); Glashütte decoration standards; "Nomos Glashütte" signed; calibre consistent with documented Sport production year | Movement inconsistent with production year; quartz movement; no Glashütte decoration |
| dial | Tangente Sport dial layout | Tangente proportions with sport luminous treatment; "Nomos" and "Glashütte i/SA"; small seconds at 6; no date window on base variant | Missing luminous treatment on luminous variant; incorrect signing; date window on no-date variant |
The Tangente Sport neomatik is the sport variant of the Tangente at 42mm with 100m water resistance and Cal. DUW 6101 automatic. The larger case scales the Tangente Arabic numeral layout up proportionally. The neomatik disc rotor and screw-tested crown seal are the authentication anchors.
