- GPHG 2022WinnerPrix de la Montre de Plongée
Entry to the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève is voluntary and made by the brand. An entry is a watch registered for that year's competition, not a jury verdict, and several large houses including Rolex, Patek Philippe and Omega do not take part at all.

Market price
The FXD-strap Pelagos launched with TUDOR's new generation and holds value well; titanium case and certified COSC movement justify the premium over earlier Pelagos references.
Editorial estimate, 2026 Q2. Actual prices vary by condition, date, and box/papers status.

Authentication
The fixed fabric strap attachment points are the defining physical feature; any Pelagos FXD with removable lugs or a bracelet has been modified.
- Fixed lug modification is occasionally attempted; inspect the 6 and 12 o'clock lug areas for signs of welding or fill.
- METAS certification on Cal. MT5602 requires verification; service at non-Tudor facilities may void METAS status.
- The GMT hand must move independently in one-hour increments; a GMT hand linked to the main hour hand indicates a damaged movement.
| Area | What to check | What is correct | Red flag |
|---|---|---|---|
| case | Fixed lug attachment architecture | Fabric strap integrated into fixed lug points at 6 and 12; no spring bar slots or quick-release mechanism | Spring bar slots present or a standard bracelet fitted indicating lug modification |
| dial | GMT hand independent movement | Red arrow GMT hand advances in one-hour increments independently of the main hour hand via crown position | GMT hand that advances with the main hour hand simultaneously, indicating GMT complication failure |
| caseback | Cal. MT5602 in-house movement | Tudor in-house Cal. MT5602 visible through caseback; movement signed Tudor and METAS-certified | Non-Tudor movement visible through caseback indicating a movement swap |
- Cal. MT5602 service must go through Tudor or an authorized center to maintain METAS certification.
- The fixed strap attachment cannot be converted to a standard lug without destructive modification; this modification is irreversible.
Authentication guide
The Pelagos FXD is Tudor's military-specification dive watch, designed for combat divers who cannot risk a spring-bar failure during a dive. The fixed strap system with no spring bars is the defining feature. The titanium case and bezel keep the watch light on the wrist. Authentication priorities are the fixed strap attachment system, the titanium case construction, and the MT5602 movement.
