Authentication guide

Last reviewed June 2026

The Engineer Hydrocarbon Nedu is Ball's serious diver, developed with NEDU (Navy Experimental Dive Unit) for deep saturation diving. The hardened case and Amortiser crown system are genuine engineering specifications, not marketing.

Known reproduction risks

toggle
MEDIUM

Hydrocarbon Nedu has low reproduction volume due to technical complexity; the risk is missing or replaced HEV and non-genuine tritium lume.

  • Missing HEV (a blank plug instead) suggests parts replacement or a non-genuine piece
  • Tritium glow test applies; see Engineer III Maverick flags
