Brand history
Founded by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet in Le Brassus; the Vallée de Joux winter isolation made watchmaking the off-season livelihood for the local farming families.
Founded 1875 in Le Brassus in the Vallée de Joux. Independent-and-family-owned for its entire history. The 1972 Royal Oak (Gérald Genta's design, integrated bracelet, steel case at gold prices) reframed the brand's identity and the modern Royal Oak family. Jumbo, Offshore, Royal Oak Concept, dominates Audemars Piguet's catalog today.
