The Tourbillon Régulateur was one of Akrivia's earliest signature pieces (2015); production volume is extremely low and any example should carry direct provenance.
Known issues in the market
- Akrivia's total annual output is roughly 35 watches across the entire catalog; a Tourbillon Régulateur offered without documented provenance is unusual.
- The regulator display (separate hour sub-dial, central minute hand, tourbillon-mounted running seconds) is a distinctive layout; any deviation on a watch sold under this name is a red flag.
| Area | What to check | What is correct | Red flag |
|---|---|---|---|
| movement | AK-04 in-house caliber with mirrored bridge architecture | Hand-wound AK-04 movement with two mirrored third wheels and hand-chamfered, hand-polished bridges with inward angles | Non-AK-04 movement architecture, or asymmetrical/machine-finished bridges inconsistent with Akrivia's hand-finishing |
| dial | Regulator display layout | Hours on a sub-dial at 12 o'clock, minutes on the central axis, running seconds via the one-minute tourbillon carriage exposed at 6 o'clock | A conventional three-hand layout, or a missing tourbillon aperture |
| case | Case finishing quality | 43mm steel case with beveled, hand-finished lugs echoing the movement's chamfered edges | Machine-regular finishing inconsistent with Akrivia's in-house hand-finishing |
Common legitimate replacements
- No known common replacements; Akrivia parts are proprietary and not available on the open market.
