Authentication

Rado plasma high-tech ceramic must be uniform in color with no mottling; the integrated Rado-signed deployment clasp is the bracelet authentication marker.

Known issues in the market
  • Plasma ceramic color mottling indicates a manufacturing defect or non-genuine case material.
  • Generic or unsigned deployment clasp indicates a bracelet replacement.

Authentication guide

Last reviewed June 2026

The Centrix is Rado's integrated-bracelet dress sports watch in ceramic. The bracelet-to-case integration is the primary authentication point; any bracelet misfit is a red flag.

Known reproduction risks

toggle
LOW

Not a significant counterfeit target.

  • Replica integrated bracelets use ceramic-coated stainless with visible flex at links; genuine ceramic links do not flex
  • Clasp on replicas typically has stamped (not machined) Rado logo that is shallower and less sharp

Dial variants by era

toggle
EraDescriptionIdentifiers
2021 to present (current generation)39mm ceramic case with integrated ceramic bracelet. Sunray brushed dial with applied hour markers. Date at 3. Rado crown logo at 12.
  • Integrated bracelet flows directly into case without a lug step; gap or misalignment is wrong
  • Ceramic bracelet links are rigid and do not flex like metal; the bracelet drapes differently on the wrist
  • Clasp is ceramic-clad with the Rado logo embossed on the outer face

Service part flags

toggle
Bracelet

Original: Integrated ceramic bracelet matched to case material and finish.

Replacement tells
  • Steel bracelet on a ceramic Centrix is incorrect; the lug geometry does not accept standard spring bar bracelets
  • Mismatched ceramic shade (e.g., slightly different black tone between case and bracelet) indicates a service replacement from a different SKU
Crown

Original: Push-pull crown with Rado logo; not screw-down on most Centrix references.

Replacement tells
  • Screw-down crown on a Centrix that specifies push-pull is an incorrect service part

Case back markings

toggle
2021 to present
  • Ceramic caseback with "RADO CENTRIX" and full reference number
  • "Swiss Made", "Automatic", water resistance rating (typically 50M)
  • Serial number engraved; used to cross-reference production records

Movement tells

toggle
  • Movement is ETA 2824-2 or Sellita SW200; neither requires special sourcing for service parts.
  • After service, confirm the caseback seal is properly reseated; ceramic casebacks crack if over-torqued during reassembly.
  • Rotor should have no audible rattle; ceramic-case watches transmit vibration more than steel, so any rattle is more perceptible.
