Confirm the Pellaton winding architecture through the caseback; the ceramic bearing pawl-and-ratchet design is the key mechanical identifier.
- The Da Vinci revival case is round; the original 1960s-70s Da Vinci had a tonneau shape. Any rectangular case on a post-2017 Da Vinci is a misidentification.
- Cal. 35111 Pellaton winding should be visible through the caseback; standard ratchet winding without ceramic bearings indicates a different or swapped movement.

Authentication guide
The IW356601 Da Vinci Automatic was relaunched in 2017 in a more restrained 40mm case, moving away from the heavily styled prior generation. Cal. 35111 (ETA 2892-based) powers it. The distinctive design element is the curved case and the chapter ring with a distinct step between the bezel and dial.
