Authentication

ETA-based chronograph on the Aikon platform; a seller claiming in-house movement on the Aikon Chronograph is incorrect.

Known issues in the market
  • Cal. ML134 is ETA 7753-based; this is correct and genuine; sellers should not claim in-house movement for the Aikon Chronograph.
  • Both pushers must return cleanly; the integrated bracelet is the same construction as the Aikon Automatic.

Authentication guide

Last reviewed June 2026

The Aikon Chronograph 44mm uses the ML134 caliber (ETA 7753 base) in the integrated sport case; the chrono sub-registers and integrated bracelet are the authentication anchors.

Known reproduction risks

toggle
MEDIUM

The Aikon Chrono is a visible sport watch in the $3k–$5k range; reproductions exist for the 44mm steel variant.

  • Integrated bracelet fit and finishing quality as noted for the Aikon Automatic.
  • Sub-register hand alignment at zero position.
  • ML134 visible through caseback; rotor branding.

Dial variants by era

toggle

Chronograph pushers

Original: Round pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock; fitted within the case profile.

Replacement tells
  • Pushers that are loose or click without resistance indicate mechanism damage.
Sub-register hands

Original: Sub-register hands should rest at 12 o'clock on zero; reset cleanly.

Replacement tells
  • Sub-register hands that don't return to 12 o'clock on reset need regulation.

Case back markings

toggle
2018 to present
  • MAURICE LACROIX AIKON CHRONOGRAPH
  • ML134 caliber designation
  • SWISS MADE
  • 200M WATER RESISTANT
  • Display caseback or solid caseback depending on variant

Movement tells

toggle
  • The ML134 is an ETA 7753 base with ML finishing; the rotor should carry ML branding.
  • The ETA 7753 architecture is distinguishable from the ETA 7750 by the sub-register positions; if the register layout doesn't match the three-counter 7753 arrangement, the movement may have been swapped.
  • Cam-and-lever chronograph: the pusher mechanism does not have the column wheel of the BR03-94; smooth pusher action is normal.
