Watches with top-tier supplier movements
References in the Grail Atlas catalog at this movement tier — the prestige and serviceability signal carried by the caliber.
Top-supplier movements are calibers made by Sellita, ETA (Swatch Group), and Soprod that are widely distributed but architecturally robust — the Sellita SW200 and SW300 (Sub-tier ETA 2824 and 2892 clones), the ETA 2892-A2, the ETA Valjoux 7750 chronograph, and the Soprod Newton. These power most non-manufacture watches in the $500-$5,000 tier and are the legitimate workhorses of Swiss watchmaking. A Sellita SW200 in a Christopher Ward or Oris case is the same architecture as in a Tudor (pre-MT movements) — finishing and regulation differ, the core is shared.
