The Urban Jurgensen P8 is a hand-finished dress watch from Copenhagen and Le Locle, made in very small numbers. Authentication focuses on movement finishing quality and dial authenticity. No known counterfeits exist at a serious level; the primary concern is condition misrepresentation and provenance.
- Urban Jurgensen production runs are small enough that any example for sale should have traceable provenance.
- Dial printing quality on genuine UJ dials is very high; any dial text that appears slightly soft or irregular under magnification is a concern.
- The P8's tear-drop lug shape is distinctive; a case with different lug geometry is not a P8.
