The TAG Group acquired Heuer in 1985 and renamed it TAG Heuer; the manufacture and brand HQ remain in La Chaux-de-Fonds, where Heuer consolidated its operations in the 20th century.
TAG Group acquired Heuer in 1985 and renamed the company TAG Heuer. The modern brand carries the Heuer racing-chronograph heritage. Carrera, Monaco, Autavia, forward, alongside contemporary lines (Aquaracer, Connected) the original Heuer never made. The Heuer 02 in-house chronograph caliber (2016) is the brand’s most-significant modern movement; the trade still distinguishes vintage Heuer (pre-1985, collected as period pieces) from contemporary TAG Heuer (current catalog), and the catalog represents them as separate brands accordingly.
