Authentication
Rado ceramic and hard metal cases are scratch-resistant by design; any Captain Cook 37 with scratched case surfaces has a non-genuine or incorrect material case.
- The high-tech ceramic case should show no scratches; surface scratches indicate a non-genuine or incorrect material case.
- The unidirectional bezel must rotate only counterclockwise; clockwise rotation means the ratchet is worn or non-genuine.

Authentication guide
The Captain Cook reissue is a ceramic-case dive watch. Authentication centers on material verification and caseback markings; the movement is ETA-sourced and not a distinguishing factor.
