A dial-less Spring Drive minute repeater built at roughly 3 pieces a year since 2011. The chime quality and fully exposed movement finishing are the things worth scrutinizing; counterfeiting risk is effectively nil given the production scale and price.
Known issues in the market
- The dial-less design means the entire movement, including the repeater hammers and Myōchin-steel gongs, is visible; finishing quality should be consistent across every visible component, not just the parts facing the crystal directly.
- The Spring Drive glide seconds hand (smooth, no tick) should be present alongside the repeater function; a ticking seconds hand indicates a different, non-Spring-Drive movement.
- Activating the repeater should produce a clear decimal chime sequence (hours, then ten-minute groups, then minutes); an indistinct or metallic-sounding chime suggests the gongs or hammers have been serviced with non-original parts.
