Known issues in the market

The dial-less design means the entire movement, including the repeater hammers and Myōchin-steel gongs, is visible; finishing quality should be consistent across every visible component, not just the parts facing the crystal directly.
The Spring Drive glide seconds hand (smooth, no tick) should be present alongside the repeater function; a ticking seconds hand indicates a different, non-Spring-Drive movement.
Activating the repeater should produce a clear decimal chime sequence (hours, then ten-minute groups, then minutes); an indistinct or metallic-sounding chime suggests the gongs or hammers have been serviced with non-original parts.
