The Octo Roma is the version you actually wear. Where the Finissimo chases records, the Roma takes that same octagonal case and adds a proper 100m water resistance rating and the BVL 191 automatic , a watch built for daily use without apology.

What it is

Bvlgari introduced the Octo in 2012, but the Roma variant arrived in 2017 as the practical anchor of the line. The name references the brand's Roman roots and the octagonal geometry that architect Peter Marino helped shape a decade earlier. At 41mm in steel with a conventional movement architecture, it occupies the center of the collection rather than its engineering extremes.

The Roma has run largely unchanged since launch, which speaks to how well the proportions were resolved from the start.

The integrated bracelet is well-finished but has a reputation for stretch over time , inspect link tightness on any pre-owned example before buying. The octagonal bezel is polished on its facets, and those edges show wear faster than a simple brushed case would. Dial condition matters more than usual here because the stepped, geometric surface amplifies any scratches or printing damage.

Confirm the reference number is 103085 (steel, automatic) rather than one of the many Octo Roma variants in gold, ceramic, or with different dials , prices diverge sharply.
