Authentication

Yellow gold case must be confirmed against papers; Ring Command bezel and date sector function are the complication checks.

Known issues in the market
  • The 12 date sectors (wedge-shaped apertures on the flange) must all advance simultaneously; any lagging sector indicates annual calendar service.
  • Yellow gold case commands a major premium over Rolesor; verify case metal against papers.

Common legitimate replacements
  • Jubilee or Oyster bracelet replacement is common; verify bracelet matches documented configuration in papers.

Last reviewed June 2026

The 326938 is the Sky-Dweller in solid 18ct yellow gold with a matching gold Oyster bracelet, powered by Cal. 9001. The full-gold configuration is the most expensive Sky-Dweller variant. The same Ring Command bezel and Saros annual calendar apply as on all current Sky-Dweller references.

Known reproduction risks

toggle
HIGH RISK

Gold-plated base-metal cases sold as solid 18ct gold

  • Magnetic attraction from the case or bracelet indicates base metal content; 18ct gold is non-magnetic
  • Wear at lug edges, bracelet pin holes, or clasp reveals a different color underneath plating
  • Weight is the most reliable field check: a genuine all-gold Sky-Dweller is substantially heavier than a plated equivalent

The all-gold Sky-Dweller is one of the heavier wearable Rolex references; if the watch feels lighter than expected for its size, weight is a concern.

HIGH RISK

Non-functional month display and Ring Command bezel

  • Same concerns as 326934: the Cal. 9001 is rarely reproduced accurately; most replicas use a generic movement behind a cosmetically similar dial
  • Ask to observe the month aperture advance manually; genuine Sky-Dweller will respond to the bezel function

Dial variants by era

Case and bracelet

Original: Solid 18ct yellow gold throughout: case, bezel, and Oyster bracelet with concealed folding clasp. The bracelet is a three-link Oyster configuration in gold.

Replacement tells
  • Any steel component mixed with the gold; the 326938 is all-gold from the factory
  • Bracelet that appears lighter than expected for solid gold construction
  • Gold color inconsistency between case and bracelet (should be indistinguishable)

Case back markings

toggle
2012 to present
  • Solid yellow gold caseback
  • Engraved: ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL SKY-DWELLER
  • Rolex crown at center
  • Reference 326938 and serial between the lugs

Movement tells

toggle
  • Cal. 9001 is the same caliber across all Sky-Dweller references regardless of case material. All movement tells from the 326934 entry apply here.
  • The Ring Command bezel coupling function should be verified the same way: rotate and press in, confirm the bezel engages the correct setting mode.
