Price trend chart coming soon

The Tradition exposes the movement on the dial side and appeals to collectors who want visible horology; secondary prices are firm because production is limited and the concept has no direct equivalent.

Editorial estimate, 2026 Q2. Actual prices vary by condition, date, and box/papers status.

In-house manufacture caliber · caliber 569 (hand-wind, in-house, peripheral rotor visible, 50h reserve)
Medium-large: suits wrists 6.5 in+ (16.5 cm+)
40.8 mm case. Wears confidently on average to larger wrists. May overhang on slender builds.

Authentication

Counterfeit Traditions exist with basic lever-escapement movements; the fusee-and-chain is the definitive authentication point.

Known issues in the market
  • Counterfeit Traditions fitted with non-fusee movements lacking the fusee cone and chain entirely.
  • The movement-forward dial architecture makes fakes visually convincing in photos without macro inspection.
AreaWhat to checkWhat is correctRed flag
movementFusee-and-chain transmissionSmall cone-shaped fusee connected by a visible miniature chain to the barrel; chain must be intact and properly tensionedNo fusee cone visible; no chain; direct-drive barrel indicates a non-genuine or heavily modified movement
movementPeripheral tourbillon cageTourbillon cage mounted at the periphery of the movement; cage rotates on the outer ring, not through the centerCentral tourbillon mount; no tourbillon visible; non-rotating cage
dialSkeletonized movement visibilityMovement architecture fully visible from the dial side; Cal. 569 plate geometry consistent with Breguet documentationObscured movement architecture; solid bridges not consistent with Cal. 569; non-Breguet movement decoration
Common legitimate replacements
  • The fusee chain is a service item; a broken or missing chain requires Breguet-authorized repair.
  • Cal. 569 is an in-house movement with no third-party equivalent.

Authentication guide

Last reviewed June 2026

The Tradition 7057 is the flagship of the Tradition family: movement architecture is visible from the dial side, with bridges, the mainspring barrel, and the tourbillon (on tourbillon variants) all exposed above an engine-turned dial chapter ring. The movement is the display piece. Any movement finishing irregularity is immediately visible without tools.

Known reproduction risks

toggle
HIGH RISK

Non-genuine movement finishing on dial-visible bridges

  • Machine-uniform bevels without the slight handwork variation of genuine Breguet bridge finishing
  • Cotes de Genève without polished transitions between stripes
  • Any dial-side bridge that appears scratched, unfinished, or differently finished from its adjacent components
MEDIUM

Incorrect time bridge placement or wrong caliber

  • Time bridge not correctly positioned relative to the movement architecture
  • Cal. designation on caseback not matching a known 7057 caliber (Cal. 507DR and variants)

Dial variants by era

toggle
EraDescriptionIdentifiers
All productionThe Tradition has no conventional dial in the Classique sense. The movement components are visible on the front of the watch, framed by a guilloché chapter ring with minute track at the periphery. The time bridge with the hour and minute tracks is centrally positioned.
  • Exposed mainspring barrel at upper portion of the dial side, with the Breguet Arabic numeral 12 on the barrel or adjacent chapter ring
  • Time bridge showing hours and minutes as a separate component above the movement plane
  • Guilloché chapter ring with minute track; Breguet Arabic numerals at hour positions
  • Blued steel Breguet hands on the time bridge
  • Visible tourbillon carriage at lower portion on tourbillon variants (7087)

Movement bridges (visible on dial side)

Original: The bridges visible from the dial side are finished with Cotes de Genève and hand-beveled edges. The finishing is identical to what would be on the caseback side of a conventional watch.

Replacement tells
  • Machine-finished bridges with uniform bevels under 5x magnification
  • Cotes de Genève that lack the polished transition between stripes
  • Any bridge that appears unfinished or with scratches inconsistent with factory finishing
Guilloché chapter ring

Original: Rose-engine guilloché on the peripheral chapter ring. The ring frames the exposed movement and provides the minute track.

Replacement tells
  • Flat or printed guilloché on the chapter ring
  • Minute track that is printed rather than applied or engraved

Case back markings

toggle
All production
  • Exhibition caseback or solid caseback depending on variant -- most 7057 production uses an exhibition caseback
  • "BREGUET" serial number and Cal. designation (Cal. 507DR) on caseback or movement visible through caseback
  • Reference 7057 and material code on caseback or lug

Movement tells

toggle
  • Post-service, all dial-side bridges must be reinstalled with identical finish quality -- any bridge that looks newer or differently finished than its neighbors was replaced or refinished outside factory standards
  • The exposed architecture means any oil migration from a poor service is visible as a film or residue on the dial-side bridges; check under 5x magnification
