Market price
The updated Royal Oak Offshore Diver 15720 with its ratchet-wheel crown protection trades in a tighter band than the prior generation; secondary prices are stable and limited-edition dial configurations carry premiums.
Editorial estimate, 2026 Q2. Actual prices vary by condition, date, and box/papers status.

Authentication
The inner rotating bezel is operated by the crown only; any external bezel grip indicates a non-genuine or modified case.
- External bezel modifications added post-sale to cosmetically differentiate from the standard Royal Oak.
- Inner bezel mechanism wear causing slippage or inability to hold position.
| Area | What to check | What is correct | Red flag |
|---|---|---|---|
| crown | Inner bezel operation via crown | Rotating inner bezel engages and holds position when operated by crown; no external grip surface on the bezel | External grip surface indicating a non-genuine or modified external bezel; inner bezel slipping or not holding set position |
| dial | Mega Tapisserie pattern | Offshore Diver Mega Tapisserie consistent with 15720 color specification; correct lume application on indices and hands | Standard Royal Oak Tapisserie scale; dial color inconsistent with 15720 specification |
| case | Rubber-clad crown surround | Rubber crown surround intact; crown engages inner bezel and winding/setting functions correctly | Deteriorated rubber surround; crown not engaging inner bezel mechanism |
- Inner bezel mechanism is AP-specific; repair requires AP-authorized service.
- Rubber crown surround replacement is a routine service item; confirm it was replaced with original AP specification rubber.
Authentication guide
The Royal Oak Offshore Diver 15720 has no chronograph pushers -- it is a pure three-hand diver with a rotating bezel. The absence of pushers is the immediate visual differentiator from the Offshore chronograph line, and fakes sometimes misrepresent one as the other.
