Original: Square cushion: four sides with gently convex curvature, creating a rounded-square profile. This is not a tonneau (barrel-shaped) and not a pure rectangle. The corners of the square are rounded with a specific radius. The case is 38mm measured at the widest point.

Caliber 500P has a 43-hour power reserve. Manual-wind only. A watch stopping in under 24 hours from full wind has a worn mainspring or different movement.
Manual winding: crown winds directly, no rotor. The winding feel is direct and progressive, building mainspring tension from the first crown rotation.
Production of the Gouverneur ended in 2019. Any "new" Gouverneur offered at standard retail is old stock. Grey-market examples are in the 2013-2019 production window -- verify serial number ranges if provenance is claimed.
