Panorama date discs must sit flush in the aperture; German silver three-quarter plate visible through caseback confirms genuine Cal. 65-01.
Known issues in the market
- Raised or tilted date numerals in the aperture indicate the date disc mechanism needs service or a disc is damaged.
- German silver three-quarter plate is the Glashütte Original caseback identifier; any caseback without it is non-genuine.

The PanoReserve is Glashütte Original's combination of the Pano family's off-center panorama date with a power reserve indicator. The panorama date at the 12-to-1 o'clock zone is the defining feature: if the date window is anywhere else on the dial, it is not a PanoReserve.
