The Sharkhunter is the black dial variant; any orange, yellow, or silver dial is a misidentified Doxa Sub 300 colorway.
- The Doxa Sub 300 family has multiple colorways with the same case; colorway name must match the dial color.
- The Sharkhunter name and Cousteau connection are marketing designations for the black dial only.

Authentication guide
The Sub 300 Sharkhunter is DOXA's black-dial colorway, part of the original 1967 Sub 300 lineup alongside the orange Professional (the colorway Jacques Cousteau's crew famously wore). Steel case, external unidirectional dive bezel. A Sub 300 badged "Sharkhunter" with an orange, yellow, or silver dial is a mislabeled sibling colorway, not this reference.
