GrailAtlasAn independent reference for mechanical watches

Simplicity

Philippe Dufour's time-only statement piece, introduced in 2000 to demonstrate what uncompromising hand-finishing looks like without a single complication to hide behind. Roughly 200 examples were made in total before production wound down in the mid-2010s, and the Simplicity is now the watch the independent-watchmaking trade uses as its benchmark for hand-applied anglage and polishing.

Year introduced: 20001 reference
