Watches with entry-tier movements
References in the Grail Atlas catalog at this movement tier: the prestige and serviceability signal carried by the caliber.
Entry-tier movements are quartz calibers (Ronda, Miyota, ETA F06) or affordable mechanical calibers (Miyota 8215, Seiko 7S26) found in watches under $200. Quartz at this tier (Ronda 715, ETA F06) is highly accurate (±15 sec/month) and reliable for years. Mechanical at this tier (Miyota 8215) is reliable but lacks hacking, hand-winding, or both. Casio's quartz modules occupy a category of their own, the F-91W's 593 module has been in production since 1989 essentially unchanged.
