Ressence Type 2, Welcome to the automated era. The Type 2 is a mechanical (automatic) watch that automatically sets and adjusts itself to the exact time. The main innovation of the Type 2 is its smart crown, eCrown® or electronic crown, which robotizes and automates the traditional crown function. eCrown® continuously controls and monitors the position of the mechanical hands and automatically sets the Type 2A to the exact time. When the watch is not worn, eCrown® stops the barrel to conserve its energy, and resets the watch as soon as it is put back on the wrist. eCrown® has several pre-programmable time zones with setting and adjustment.
