The story of the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 42. Developed in the 1980s by Kurt Klaus, the IWC perpetual calendar automatically distinguishes between the different lengths of the months and leap years, and can be easily adjusted via the crown. For the first time, this complication is integrated into an IWC 82000-series movement. The watch displays the date, month, and day of the week in three sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, along with an indicator for the moon phase and leap years.
