Vianney Halter set up his own company, Janvier SA, in Sainte-Croix in 1994, and launched his eponymous collection in 1998 with the Antiqua Perpetual Calendar; he is one of the founding figures of the modern independent movement. The workshop shares the town with De Bethune. The Deep Space Tourbillon is a triple-axis central tourbillon (40-second, 6-minute, and 30-minute rotation periods) in a titanium case, limited to a maximum of 3 pieces a year.
