The DC series applies Damasko's icehardened steel to a dive-chronograph specification: rotating bezel, 20 ATM water resistance, and Valjoux 7750-based chronograph movement. The DC56 is 42mm; the DC66 is 47mm. Both use the same surface hardening that resists scratching far beyond standard stainless steel.

- The Sinn 756 and Archimede Pilot Chrono offer similar German-specification tool-watch positioning at comparable prices with more collector recognition. The Damasko is the most extreme specification for scratch resistance but not the most famous name.

- 47mm is the specification for buyers who want no ambiguity about what they are wearing. The DC66 is a statement piece in the tool-watch category.
- Consider instead if:
- 47mm is very large. The DC56 at 42mm delivers identical specifications at a more wearable size. Unless you specifically want the larger case, the DC56 is the correct choice.
