Tool Watch Classics
Before watches became status objects, they were instruments. The dive watch existed to track no-decompression limits. The pilot watch existed to read in a cockpit. The field watch existed to survive mud. These references still carry that original purpose in their design. Buy them because the function shaped the form, not the other way around.
Each reference on this list was designed around a constraint. The Submariner around depth. The Fifty Fathoms around decompression. The Mark XX around legibility at altitude. The constraint is what makes the design honest.
