Rolex cal 4130 replaced the Valjoux 7750 in the Daytona, giving Rolex full in-house control over its only chronograph. The column-wheel actuation and horizontal clutch eliminate the second-hand jump at chronograph start; the 72-hour twin-barrel reserve exceeds any comparable supplier movement. Parts are unavailable in the aftermarket and service must be performed by a Rolex-certified watchmaker.
