Bronze-bezel watches

Bronze bezels appear on tool watches where material patina is a deliberate design feature. Anonimo Militare, select Oris Divers Sixty-Five variants, and Doxa Sub 300 Bronze. Bronze develops a patina determined by the wearer's skin chemistry, seawater exposure, and UV light; no two examples age identically. The material has a long history in marine hardware (propellers, bearings) and its use in dive-watch bezels is a callback to naval tool aesthetics. Bronze is softer than steel and will develop surface marks more readily; some collectors value this as character, others prefer steel for retention of factory finish.
