Founded in 2004 by Chris Ward, Peter Ellis and Mike France, and named for the first of the three. The commercial premise was to sell Swiss-made watches direct rather than through a retail chain, and the company has never had authorised dealers. Design, product and the business itself sit in Maidenhead, west of London; the watches are assembled at the brand’s own atelier in Biel, in the Swiss watchmaking belt, which is also where its in-house modules (the Bel Canto’s chiming FS01, the JJ04 jumping hour) are built on Sellita bases.

The only watchmaker in Scotland, founded by Lewis Heath in 2015. The Model 1 (2018) established the brand publicly around in-house vitreous grand-feu enamel dial-making, hand-fired multiple times in a kiln at close to 800 degrees Celsius so no two dials are identical; Swiss-sourced movements sit inside the Scottish-made dial and case.

Founded by Roger W. Smith on the Isle of Man. Protégé and direct heir of George Daniels, the British horologist who developed the co-axial escapement. Production is approximately 10 watches per year, each fully built (including case, dial, hands, and movement) by Smith and his small team in the Ramsey workshop.

Founded by Nick and Giles English in 2002; the brand’s "Wing" manufacture opened in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, in 2021, the first British watchmaking facility of meaningful scale since the trade left the UK in the 1970s.
