Rolex cal 4131 succeeds the 4130 in the Daytona, adding the Chronergy escapement and a blue Parachrom hairspring already used elsewhere in the modern Rolex lineup, plus three additional jewels (47 vs. 44) for the added going-train and chronograph-coupling components. Column-wheel actuation and vertical clutch carry over unchanged from the 4130. Parts are unavailable in the aftermarket and service must be performed by a Rolex-certified watchmaker.
