Stowa

Founded 1927 by Walter Storz in Hornberg, in the Black Forest, and moved to Pforzheim in 1935 to sit inside Germany’s watch-and-jewellery district. The Pforzheim factory was destroyed in February 1945 and Storz restarted production the same year in Rheinfelden, so the company has run continuously since its founding; it works today from Engelsbrand, just outside Pforzheim.
